face2face’s range of training programmes for schools is tailored to meet the needs of Head Teachers, their Deputies and SLT team members who face numerous challenges running a modern school of today.

Since 2008 face2face has worked with numerous education establishments across the country, from the North East, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire to name a few.

Having to deliver the results parents, governors and Ofsted demand, as well as having to deal with the attitudes and behaviours of staff, can create stress, worry and friction which can impact negatively on the results you require and staff morale.

Since 2008 we have worked closely with school senior leaders to hone our training courses to meet the challenges Heads and SLTs face today and allow them to overcome the hurdles and deliver exceptional results.

Our courses are run in groups ranging from 6 – 20 people and are highly interactive and fun. They are full of common sense and we don’t bombard you with lots of theory but with practical hands on tips and tools that you can use straight away in your work environment. We encourage our delegates to learn from each other and bounce ideas off the trainers and each other. We facilitate the learning of new skills, increase confidence and the enthusiasm to go back and make a real difference.

As well as our core programmes, we are able to develop programmes to meet your unique requirements. Many clients who have attended our core programmes come back to us to develop specific programmes for their particular school.

Executive Leadership for Head Teachers
Aimed at: Head Teachers, Deputy Heads & Principals

Format: Four full days over a two month period

Head Teachers running a modern school today are faced with the reality they are also running a business. This creates a challenge for Heads and Deputies alike who have to inspire their staff to achieve the results parents, governors and Ofsted are demanding, which in turn introduces significant pressures on their schools and personal lives.
The way your staff perceives a Head Teacher plays a crucial role in an individual’s output. It is therefore extremely important that people in high level management positions understand how others see them. Equally important is how we view the skills, abilities and potential of people around us.

This programme incorporates coaching, group discussions, and one-to-one mentoring to achieve results inside and outside of your business. The development process uses 360 degree feedback to identify the behaviours and attitudes that are preventing an improvement that would have a dramatic influence on a personal and professional level. It also facilitates the start of an open and honest discussion, dealing with the critical issues that are holding you back.

I first attended training with Nick Danby as part of face2face consultancy when it was recommended to me back in 2009. As an experienced Headteacher I was looking for something entirely different to the leadership programmes I had done before. The Executive Leadership Programme seemed to offer just that, a chance to work alongside leaders outside the educational sector.

High Performance Programme for SLTs and Middle Leaders
Aimed at: SLT members and Middle Leaders

Format: Three full days run bi-weekly over a two month period

This programme is designed specifically for Leaders of today, and has been run for a number of educational organisations across the UK.  Numbers will be limited to allow for intensive personal coaching and support throughout.

Leaders in schools and academy’s seldom get the time to focus on themselves and their effectiveness. Here is an opportunity to do just that and hone and develop their skills along with other School Leaders. They will get to focus on all aspects of their leadership ability. From work/life balance to how they deal with underperformance in others, every aspect of how we communicate and come across to the world will be examined and developed.

This is a programme that delivers results – through personal coaching during and after the course. You will receive tools and tips that are practical based not just theory and you will see a marked improvement in your performance when operating at all levels.

As a member of the Leadership Team the reality is that your personal impact alone determines your success and how people view you.

The programme covers the following key areas:

As with all our training, the main emphasis is on working closely with the group to encourage and coach individuals. The training is applied immediately within the school environment and is closely monitored to assess outcomes.
